The upcoming WWE “TLC” pay-per-view has only one quality main event caliber match so far, with a few specialty matches along the way. Rajah reported on Dec. 7 that another title match has been added to the card, but at the moment, it is just another average match on an uninspiring card.
The new match that is rumored to be added to the WWE pay-per-view is a tag team title match pitting champions Goldust and Cody Rhodes against the new tag team of Curtis Axel and Ryback. While it looked like the two would get buried with Paul Heyman leaving and dumping both clients, they have secured a number of high quality wins, including in a non-title match over the tag champs on “Smackdown” last night.
This match joins a U.S. title match between Big E Langston and Damien Sandow and two three-on-one handicap matches, the first pitting The Wyatt Family against Daniel Bryan and the second putting CM Punk against The Shield. The only big time singles match on the card sees John Cena and Randy Orton battle in a title unification match that Triple H promises will end with only one champion.
While that match has huge implications, to just rely on that match to sell the WWE pay-per-view might end up being a mistake for the WWE. While both CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are huge stars, the three-on-one aspects of the matches make them a bit less interesting.
