With six names already announced for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, it looked like it might be finished with only two weeks to go to the event. According to PWInsider.com on March 23, there is one more surprise as the WWE will announce Scott Hall as the next inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame tonight on "WWE Monday Night Raw."
Last month, Hall himself speculated that he would get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, but his news was just guesswork. Hall noticed that his Twitter account was verified the same day as Ultimate Warrior, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Amy "Lita" Dumas. That made him wonder if it was a sign that he was next.
Since then, manager Paul Bearer, Puerto Rican star Carlos Colon and celebrity Mr. T were all announced, but there was not a sound about Scott Hall.
Hall first broke out as a big cowboy in the AWA before moving on to the WWE, following his old tag team partner Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig. In the WWE, he took on the persona of Razor Ramon and became a major star. He left for WCW and was the genesis for the formation of the nWo, the group that revolutionized professional wrestling.
He has since watched his life fall apart due to alcoholism, but recently went to Diamond Dallas Page for help. Just like he did for Jake Roberts, DDP helped Hall sober up and turn his life around. Now, just like The Snake, it seems the WWE will reward Scott Hall for his hard work with a WWE Hall of Fame induction.
