Every year the WWE Royal Rumble spoilers run rampant with rumors of who will return as a surprise entrant. Some years there are huge surprises, like the year Kevin Nash and Booker T made their returns and others are not as exciting. According to Wrestle Zone on Sept. 6, next year's surprises could fit into either of those categories depending on the fan.
The two 2014 Royal Rumble surprise entrants are John Cena and Sheamus.
While fans of these two wrestlers will love to know their favorites are coming back to the Royal Rumble, those are not two names that will light the WWE universe on fire. For one thing. John Cena was a surprise entrant before in 2008.
That year, it was a complete surprise and even the IWC had no idea he was coming back. He was supposed to be out for even longer with his injury, so when his music started everyone in the arena went nuts. It was a huge surprise and that feeling can't be duplicated by a second surprise return.
Sheamus returning will be even worse because he was getting stale anyway with his face bully personality, a strange mixture for a wrestler who is supposed to be a role model.
The bad thing is that these WWE Royal Rumble spoilers also indicate that John Cena and Sheamus will be the only two surprises, which means no Jake "The Snake" Roberts - at least at this time. With his sobriety in full swing and him getting in better shape than ever, he deserves this moment more than almost anyone.
