WWE Royal Rumble 2013: Jim Ross predicts winners for all matches

On Jan. 27, WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross posted his thoughts on tonight's WWE Royal Rumble pay per view. In the post, Ross talked about the Rock's world title opportunity and the Royal Rumble match itself.

The biggest event for the evening is not the Royal Rumble match itself, but the WWE Championship match between CM Punk and The Rock. Punk has held the title for well over a year and only legends like Bruno Sammartino, Pedro Morales, Bob Backlund and Hulk Hogan have held the belt longer.

However, The Rock has not been champion in over 10 years, and has been part time at best since becoming a movie star. Jim Ross believes this is The Rock's last viable chance to ever hold the WWE Championship. He said that Punk has the advantage with his striking moves, but that he expects Punk to make a mistake, allowing The Rock to win the title

As for the Royal Rumble match itself, Ross said he likes John Cena to win the match and go on to Wrestlemania for the main event title match, as far as his predictions go, to face The Rock. He also said that he feels Dolph Ziggler will make an impact in the match, as will Sheamus, Ryback and Randy Orton.

Ross said to watch out for surprise "alumni" entrants and put over NXT star Bo Dallas as someone to watch out for. He also predicts that Kane's record for the number of men eliminated in a night will be broken tonight.

In other predictions for tonight's WWE Royal Rumble, Jim Ross also sees Alberto Del Rio beating Big Show, The Rhodes Scholars beating Team Hell No for the tag team titles, and Antonio Cesaro successfully retaining his US title over The Miz.
