WWE Royal Rumble 2014 live tonight on PPV
WWE Royal Rumble 2014 live tonight on PPV

Tonight WWE presents it's second biggest pay per view event of the year, the 2014 Royal Rumble live from Pittsburgh at 7pm C / 8pm E. This annual classic sets the stage for the road to Wrestlemania 30 which takes place on April 6th in New Orleans. Pro Wrestling Examiner runs down the whole card for tonight's Rumble including all of the confirmed entrants for the 30 man Royal Rumble match and attempt to predict who will be the winner. even has coverage of the surprise entrants for the Rumble and who they might be.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Goldust& Cody Rhodes vs. New Age Outlaws

This match will take place on the Royal Rumble kickoff webcast which is available through or at 6:30pm C/7:30PM E. It's one of more interesting title defenses by the Rhodes brothers as the Outlaws come in with 5 previous WWE Tag Team titles on their resume. Billy Gun and Roaddogg have a legitimate chance with the backup of Triple H and the Authority to snatch the titles. If you also consider that Goldust and Cody have been putting on stellar matches since they formed this team last year, then you know this one is worth checking outbefore the main card starts. Prediction: The Outlaws cheat their way into their 6th WWE Tag Team Championship. The Rhodes family is hit with descention and leads into an ugly scene later in the night in the Rumble match

Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt

The Yes Movement is rolling hard and loud with fingers pumping to the sky after Daniel Bryan broke out of the Wyatt Family two weeks ago on RAW. The fans demanded that Bryan come back to his heroic character and they got it. This week the disturbed cult leader Bray Wyatt sent a chilling threat to Bryan stating that he should apologize to his mother because everything else that happens to him after this is his fault. Prediction: Bray Wyatt upsets the millions of DB backers watching around the world when he gets the victory. Bryan will triumph when this story ends or maybe he will triumph later in the night.

There has been much speculation on social media that Bryan could appear in the Rumble match as well as this match, but their is no confirmation of this from WWE.

Brock Lesnar vs. the Big Show

WWE has done a tremendous in making the Big Show, a worthy adversary for the Beast from the UFC, Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman as Lesnar's talk piece has also talked up this bout effectively. The in-ring altercation have all been intense between each man so fans should look to see more of this same energy tonight. Lesnar is still the favorite in this match, as he's heavily reported to be facing the Undertaker in a high profile match down the road at Wresltemania. Yet the world's largest athlete, the Big Show is no push over. Prediction: Brock Lesnar escapes the Big Show with a victory, but Show comes out of Pittsburgh looking strong in defeat.

WWE Championship Match
Randy Orton vs. John Cena

This feud is more tired like a popped collar on a polo shirt, it was out of style years ago but somebody thinks it still a cool thing. Cena and Orton maybe some of the biggest WWE stars of the past decade but their fight with each other has simply been done too many times on TV and PPV to feel special. Still that does not mean that both men will not try to deliver the goods in this title match which certainly has serious ramifications on a Wrestlemania main event. Expect Orton to pull out all of the stops and try to do everything to surpass the Cenation. Prediction: John Cena wins the WWE title but with some sense of controversy around the title change.

The following superstars are confirmed by WWE to be entrants in the Rumble match.

-C.M. Punk

-Alberto Del Rio

-Big E Langston

-The Miz

-Xavier Woods

-Kofi Kingston

-Cody Rhodes

-Rey Mysterio

-Roman Reigns

-Seth Rollins

-Dean Ambrose

-Damien Sandow

-Luke Harper

-Erick Rowan

-Jey Uso

-Jimmy Uso

This leaves 10 spots for unannounced Royal Rumble entrants. Read a full report on who these superstars could be including Hall of Famers and former World Champions, in this special preview from Pro Wrestling Examiner.

Prediction: There are two likely candidates that can scrape and claw their way out of the pack of 30 superstars to win the coveted Wrestlemania title shot and they are 'the Animal'Batista and the'Best in the World'CM Punk. Punk has the odds against him as it was revealed on RAW this week, that he will enter the Rumble at the loathsome spot of number.

The other favorite Batista returned to WWE after a 4 year absence on RAW this past Monday. Big Dave quickly asserted himself by saying directly to Randy Orton and the WWE Universe that he was back with one goal in mind: to win the WWE world Heavyweight Championship. Both of these men have momentum behind, yet this is the Rumble where anything can happen.
