The WWE Royal Rumble 2013 results involved one huge championship win for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as well as John Cena winning his second-ever Royal Rumble match. Cena will now get to decide who he faces at WrestleMania 29 in a headlining championship match. Most fans and smart bettors believe he'll face The Rock.
After the Royal Rumble match results, Cena spoke to WWE.com on Jan. 27 backstage to talk about his big victory and what's to come. During the interview piece, Cena spoke of his final two opponents in the match:
"When it came down to me, Sheamus, and Ryback. Each one of those guys deserves to be in the dance at WrestleMania, but we all know the rules of the Rumble, one person goes."
Cena sent a direct message to his critics to finish off the video, saying:
"Take notice. Mark your calendar. Whoop ass season starts today."
For a long time now it's been speculated that John Cena will compete against The Rock at WrestleMania 29 for the WWE Championship. After Rock's victory over CM Punk during last night's Royal Rumble results, it appears the new champion and the guy he defeated at last year's Mania are on a collision course for WM 29.
