Wrestling star Rob Van Dam returned to WWE action tonight on 'RAW' in New Orleans, LA. With a ton of buzz following last night's Wrestlemania 30 at the Superdome, RVD got back into the mix with a victory over Damien Sandow live on the USA Network.

The former WWE and ECW Champion has been out of action for months after failing to capture the World Heavyweight Championship in the fall of 2014. His return will inject some flair and flash to the WWE with his high flying skills and credibility that he has earned in his lengthy pro wrestling career which started back in the '90s.

Pro Wrestling Examiner's Perspective: RVD is a guy who can always deliver an energetic performance on TV and PPV. It will be interesting how he is figured into the overall mix of WWE considering there is only one World title to vie for on the roster. It would be interesting to see the 'Whole F'n Show' allign with another superstar to form a tag team or maybe develop a one-on-one feud with a younger star like Dolph Ziggler.
