WWE icon Hulk Hogan caused an internet tornado of speculation and rumors today when he posted a not-so-subtle tweet about doing something physical at Wrestlemania 30 in New Orleans,LA on April 6. In February, Hogan was announced to serve the special host of WM30 live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Below you can read Hogan’s teasing Twitter post in question.
Should be a day off, naha, gonna blow out chest and back jack, need to be ready in case it gets out of hand at WRESTLEMANIA 30 brother HH - @HulkHogan
Due to serious injuries he has sustained in his 25 plus years in pro wrestling, it has been widely speculated within the wrestling world that Hogan is not able to perform as an active wrestler. In January, Examiner.com reported that WWE was internally not comfortable with the Hulkster wrestling in a full fledged match at Wrestlemania due to a reportedly unfavorable medical exam he had to undergo prior to his 2014 return to the company. Now the former WWE and WCW World Champion who holds a pop culture designation as one of the most popular pro wrestlers of all time, is teasing some physicality at the biggest wrestling show of the year.
If Hogan does indeed get into some in-ring action it will be a fun ‘mania moment’ for the 80,000 plus assembled from around the world to witness the 'show of shows'. It is not clear who might be on the receiving end of Hogan's assault at this moment.
Pro Wrestling Examiner’s Perspective: Well, this is certainly interesting. No matter what, it does not seem logical after all of the surgeries and damage that Hogan has endured that he should not be having a real physical match at WM30. If he was going to have a legit match on WM30, WWE and Hogan would have been on that course by now to build up mainstream attention and TV ratings for ‘RAW’. So if the man in red and yellow does indeed get into it with a superstar or two, it will could likely be in a brawl in or around the ring.
