Last night’s WWE Raw featured Mick Foley’s television return as Foley was a ‘guest host’ for this week’s Raw and Friday’s Smackdown. In addition, John Laurinaitis gave his farewell address and made the night’s main event (himself, David Otunga and Big Show vs. John Cena) last night, hence the decision stood.
Cyndi Lauper made her WWE return, alongside Wendi Richter, Layla and eventually Rowdy Roddy Piper. Heath Slater ‘sang’ his new song and was eventually nailed over the head with a framed gold record (that Piper had given Lauper). Finally, Paul Heyman addressed Triple H’s challenge to Brock Lesnar for Summer Slam. When Heyman said Lesnar declines, HHH came to the ring and after some taunting, knocked out Heyman with a right hand. Here are the match results from last night:
-WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus defeat Kane and Daniel Bryan via pin fall when Sheamus pinned Bryan. Kane left the ring during the match after AJ came to the ring in a Kane mask and hopped around.
-Dolph Ziggler defeats Jack Swagger via pin fall.
-Alberto Del Rio defeats United States Champion Santino Marella via submission in a non-title match.
-Primo and Epico defeat Darren Young and Titus O’Neil via count out.
-John Cena defeats David Otunga and John Laurinaitis via submission when Cena made Laurinaitis tap out. Before the match, Big Show decided against competing in the match.
