Tonight’s WWE RAW will be a big one with all of the fallout from last night’s Royal Rumble with a new WWE Champion The Rock and an all-but-confirmed rematch with John Cena at Wrestlemania on the horizon. Get ready for a lot of pointing at the WM29 sign in arenas across the country, because the road to Wrestlelmania 29 has officially begun.
SPIN THE WHEEL, IT’S RAW ROULETTE!
WWE RAW is back in Las Vegas so that means one thing: RAW Supervisor Vickie Guerrero is going to have multiple superstars spinning a roulette wheel with several “surprise” stipulations being added to their matches. We could see a Tables Match or a Steel Cage Match or something with the Divas in bikinis for no apparent reason. It’s a fun way to add something extra to RAW especially with the show now being three-hours long.
THE ROCK IS YOUR NEW WWE CHAMPION, BUT CM PUNK WILL NOT BE QUIET
Time was up for CM Punk last night and his 434 day reign as the WWE Champion came to an end at the hands of the Rock. The Rock will speak to his millions with the WWE title in hand tonight, but do not expect the jaded former champion CM Punk to stay in the shadows. Punk will not let the two superstars he hates with a seething passion, John Cena and the Rock have their party at Mania 29 without him attempting to crash it.
WWE Chairman Vince McMahon restarted last night’s Rumble match after Punk already pinned the Rock, this logical argument will be played as the Straight Edge Superstar’s ace to get a rematch. Now when the WWE Universe gets this rematch of Punk vs. Rock is up in the air. Does it happen at February's Elimination Chamber or does WWE try to ramp up RAW ratings with a televised rematch? Only time will tell.
PAUL HEYMAN "LIVE JOB REVIEW"
Vince McMahon is promising a live job review for CM Punk's associate Paul Heyman. This is a vague for sure. How can McMahon review Punk's manager? Interesting to say the least.
JOHN CENA’S “WHOOP-ASS SEASON” BEFORE ROCK VS. CENA II
With the Rock defeating CM Punk last night for the WWE Championship and John Cena winning the Royal Rumble, the stage is set fo Wrestlemania 29. At least it just feels like a forgone conclusion that Rock vs. Cena II is going to be a reality. Now WWE can throw a curveball with next month’s Elimination Chamber Pay Per View.
RAW IS JERICHO! DOLPH ZIGGLER IS NOT HAPPY
Chris Jericho ruined Dolph Ziggler’s attempt to run the gauntlet in last night’s Royal Rumble in a shocking return that no one (this Examiner included) saw coming. Jericho is back with WWE (read about his new contract here) and he’s already has a exciting feud with the hottest young star in Pro Wrestling, Dolph Ziggler.
These two hotheads got into it in August at Summerslam and the following night on RAW, where Ziggler defeated Jericho, forcing him out of the WWE once again. With both superstars on the road to Mania, look for them to elevate each other in a brief return engagement at Elimination Chamber.
WWE ELIMINATION CHAMBER 2013 PPV
WWE has a ways to go before they roll into Mania at MetLife Stadium, and the biggest bump on that road is Elimination Chamber. The PPV will feature brutal matches with 6 superstars in each match fighting for either the WWE or the World Heavyweight Championship. WWE has made changes to these matches before with both Chamber matches either being for the titles or a precious title shot at WM29 is on the line. Tonight on RAW or next week’s episode will see several superstars trying to earn spots inside the Chamber.
