Tonight's RAW will see one champion on top after the brutality seen last night on pay per view in Houston, Texas. WWE TLC ended in a big way with the Viper Randy Orton standing tall after defeating John Cena to unify the WWE and World Heavyweight Championship, and become the one true WWE World Champion. The match was violent, swerving back and forth with drama but in the end Cena was thwarted and Orton came out the winner. The show also had some other big developments with Daniel Bryan valiantly losing to the Wyatts and CM Punk conquering the Shield. There should be a lot of follow up on these stores tonight on WWE RAW and possibly some early announcement for big January pay per view, Royal Rumble.
Randy Orton is the WWE World Champion now. He seemingly has the Authority behind him, as Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Vince McMahon celebrated with him after his big win last night at TLC. This could allude to Orton once again having Triple H and Stephanie use their corporate powers to aid him in his future title defenses as they did with his controversial fall run as WWE Champion. Orton should stir up some sparks with a possible new challenger.
That new challenger could easily be the best in the world, CM Punk. Punk out-smarted the three threatening members of the Shield. Punk has been away from the WWE World title scene for quite some time, and is due for an opportunity. It didn't hurt that Punk has been throwing insults in the direction of the Authority recently as well and even got into a physical altercation with Triple H at the wild multi-man brawl at the end of RAW last week.
The path for John Cena heading into next year's Wrestlemania could be clearer tonight on RAW. The leader of Cenation will likely address his legion of fans tonight about his big loss in the title unfication match last night on TLC, but you could get some idea of where he is heading with his next story in WWE. This Examiner sees Cena throwing his name into the hat for the 30-man Royal Rumble match.
Daniel Bryan took home several Slammy Awards last week and nearly stole the show-closing 'ascension ceremony' that was design to spotlight John Cena and Randy Orton. The chants that broke out for the beared man from Aberdeen, Washington were a clear indicator that he is still one of the hottest wrestlers in the 'E right now. It seems after the creepy embrace of Bray Wyatt clutching Bryan's head as he lay motionless after losing a 3-on-1 handicap match, that we see more of Bryan battling the Wyatts tonight on RAW. WWE confirmed today via their website that Daniel Bryan will appear on tonight's show.
WWE Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes and Goldust along with WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee are also scheduled to appear. WWE.com is also teasing descension in the Shield after Roman Reigns mistakenly speared his team mater Dean Ambrose and cost his team the match.
