WWE RAW Preview: Daniel Bryan's 'Yes Movement' moves on to Wrestlemania 30

WWE is only a few weeks away from the ‘shows of shows’ Wrestlemania 30 and their flagship TV show ‘RAW’ is live tonight on USA Network (7pm C/ 8pm E) with a lot of developments with top wrestlers like Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Batista, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. Pro Wrestling Examiner breaks down all the news and stories heading into tonight’s RAW and how it affects the road to Wrestlemania which is only a few weeks away.

Daniel Bryan had one of the biggest moments of his career last week in Memphis when his “Yes Movement”of fans take over the ring and force corporate authority Triple H to accept Bryan’s WM30 challenge buItt also give Bryan a potential shot at the WWE title on the big show on April 6th. Based on the social media response, fans around the world were overjoyed to see Bryan finally get the spotlight assigned to him on the grand stage of Wrestlemania.

Bryan ended last week’s RAW by pinning the WWE World Champ Randy Orton in the tag team main event. That episode may have been all Bryan but do not expect Batista who is challenging the Viper for the title at WM30 to be quiet on the matter. The possibility of Bryan being added to the title match changes the path to New Orleans for both the Animal and Orton, and it also enlarges the already growing target on D-Bry’s back. This Examiner does not expect the Yes-Man to come out of tonight’s RAW in San Antonio, TX without some bruises from his Wrestlemania foes.

Triple H’s corporate throne was rattled last week on ‘RAW’ but exepect the iron hand of the King of the WWE to come down hard for Bryan’s successful rebellion last week in Memphis. Just like the great scientific mind Isaac Newton once said “Every action has a equal or opposite reaction”, tonight on RAW will see ‘the Authority’ react to the Yes Movement. Trip’s wife and fellow corporate overlord Stephanie McMahon should also have some involvement in tonight’s response as well. This Examiner predicts that the Authority will stack the deck against Bryan with an unfair match of some kind.

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins got back to be a well-oiled wrecking machine on Friday’s episode of Smackdown but refusing to help ‘Corporate Kane’ in his match against the world’s biggest athlete, the Big Show. This is an odd detour for the trio who were presumably on a road to breaking up in the near future, but now are somehow unified for the time-being. Just Bryan disturbed the ruling order last week, so did the Shield with not playing their usual beat-down duties. Kane could lite up the distrust within the Shield on RAW or maybe try to attack them in some lethal way this week on ‘RAW’.

The Wrestlemania match was made between the mainacal Bray Wyatt and John Cena last week. Cena rubbed elbow with the WM30 host Hulk Hogan in a segment where he quickly defeated Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan. The star of this feud is surpisingly not the 14-time champ of the world Cena, but the silver-toungued cult leader Wyatt. His eerie presence on the microphone is making this feud a classic ‘good vs. evil’ battle in the eyes of many fans and critics. Cena even with the in-ring victory last week, needs to have a verbal win this week in the war of words with Wyatt.

WHAT WWE SUPERSTARS WILL THROW THEIR NAMES INTO THE WM30 BATTLE ROYAL? Last week WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan announced as host of this year’s Wrestlemania that he wanted to present a special match to honor another legend, Andre the Giant. This lead the Hulkster to reveal the first Andre the Giant Memorial 30-man over-the-top Battle Royal. Several superstars have thrown their names into the hat for the multi-man match to win the Andre trophy. This leads to several superstars with no featured story heading into WM30 a chance to get on the card in this crowded match over the course of the next few weeks. Here are the confirmed stars for the WM30 Battle Royal: WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E, Fandango, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Alberto Del Rio, and Dolph Ziggler.

Plus on RAW, WWE could likely craft out a Wrestlemania 30 matches involving the WWE Tag Team Champions the Usos and WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee. The feud between Undertaker and his WM30 opponent Brock Lesnar could also get a new page-turning segment this week.
