BREAKING NEWS: FORMER WWE CHAMPION IS FINALLY SET TO BE INDUCTED IN WWE HALL OF FAME IN 2013
BROCK LESNAR IS BACK
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar hit the ring at the end of the match, interrupting WWE Chairman Vince McMahon from firing his manager Paul Heyman and laid out the 67-year old boss with a devastating F5. Lesnar and Heyman had a profound interaction in a man who has reluctantly made a monster. Lesnar laid out McMahon for a reason, and tonight on RAW we will find out why he did that mortal sin in the world of the WWE. Lesnar is likely trying to lure McMahon's son-in-law Triple H into a rematch. The two squared off at Summerslam in August, with Lesnar winning and 'breaking' Trip's arm.
HEYMAN IN THE HOT SEAT
WWE confirmed online that Paul Heyman will be in the hot seat with the Miz on his MizTV talk show segment tonight on RAW. The interview will open RAW on an intense note, picking up from last week's conclusion with McMahon being injured by Brock Lesnar. Heyman put on an Oscar-worthy performance as a desperate last Monday, pleading with Vince not to fire him after finding out he was always plotting with Brad Maddox and the Sheild. Could Heyman further reveal his connection with the Sheild tonight? Will Heyman try to tame his monster Brock Lesnar?
WHILE THE ROCK IS AWAY, CM PUNK WILL PLAY
WWE Champion the Rock will not be on RAW tonight due to his Hollywood commitment with two different action movies coming up in the next few months. This absence will give Punk a gap to fill in their story before their reach for the title at February 17th's Elimination Chamber Pay Per View. Rock could appear in a taped segment, but it will be Punk's night to get some resolve on two different fronts. Punk will need to address the big reveal that Heyman and himself were indeed in cahoots with crooked referee Brad Maddox and the Shield for months. The Straight Edge Superstar will need clear the record and set the pace going into the Chamber PPV. Punk has been on a roll recently, look for another stellar performance from the former champion tonight on RAW.
THE CENATION WILL BE HEARD
John Cena set the all-but-confirmed rematch with the Rock last week on RAW when he set his sights of the WWE Championship. WWE RAW this week will see Cena strong but with slight detour with the Shield faction who attacked him last week. Cena along with fellow superheroes Ryback and Sheamus could respond to the Shield with an attack of their own. Cena is Wrestlemania bound, but he will need some presence on the Elimination Chamber card in some way. Look for Cena to tag up with Sheamus and Ryback in some type of 3-on-3 match against the Shield on the Feb 17th PPV broadcast.
MELTZER SAYS SOMETHING ‘BIG’ WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON RAW
Last night in his weekly appearence on the Live Audio Wrestling radio show, Wrestling Observer writer Dave Melzter noted that fans should tune into RAW tonight for something or someone “big” with Wrestlemania impact. This could obviously be a lot of different things with every laptop booker online typing away their fantasy booking ideas to plug in here, but let’s examine what it realistically could be.
The Undertaker: Though reports have been circulating that ‘Taker may not be healthy enough to defend his undefeated ‘streak’ at Wrestlemania, it would be a big curveball to see the Deadman on RAW tonight.
Triple H: The King of Kings is now a WWE executive working behind the scenes, but he has made sporadic returns to in-ring action in the last two years. Trip’s father-in-law Vince McMahon was laid out last week by the man who broke his arm twice in 2012, Brock Lesnar. He is motivated to run-in and collide with Lesnar.
WWE Hall of Famer: WWE will announce another HOF inductee tonight, could Meltzer’s insider be alluding to a main event legend getting the nod for this honor. Today WWE confirmed a former WWE Champion and New York sports legend for induction to this year's HOF class, read about it here.
