Over the next few days, WWE will be slamming into various cities in Texas including the Raw 20th Anniversary special on Monday night in Houston. This past Friday night, the Raw live event crew rolled into the Frank Erwin Center in Austin for a big event.
The first match of the night featured Brodus Clay facing former World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger. Brodus picked up the win, giving Swagger yet another loss.
The always popular Zack Ryder was up next, as he faced off against rookie NXT star Leo Kruger. Ryder scored the victory after hitting the Rough Ryder on Kruger.
Houston native and WWE Diva Kaitlyn was in action on Friday night, as she met Tamina Snuka. Kaitlyn picks up the pinfall over the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka.
The WWE Tag Team Championships were defended in Austin, as Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) defeated renegade newcomers The Shield. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins did everything they could to steal the titles, but Roman Reigns interfered and got them disqualified. After the match, The Shield assaulted the champions until Ryback stormed the ring and made the save.
Former Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella hit the ring for a match with the powerful Tensai. The match was mostly dominated by the larger Tensai, but it was Santino getting the win by using The Cobra.
Texas native and Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero came out to announce that the United States Title would be on the line and fans could vote on the stipulation. Antonio Cesaro would then go on to successfully defend his title against The Miz in a Street Fight.
The main event was a tag match that saw John Cena and Ryback take on WWE Champion CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler. AJ Lee and Big E Langston were at ringside causing a distraction throughout the match. It wouldn't work, as Cena hit the AA on Ziggler to get the win for their team.
