Jack Swagger has been removed from the WWE live events this weekend, WrestleZone.com reported on Feb. 21. Swagger was arrested on Wednesday in Biloxi, Miss. after a taping of WWE “Smackdown” at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. At the time of his arrest Swagger was in possession of marijuana. Jack Swagger was charged with speeding and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
It is not known whether Swagger’s arrest for driving under the influence of a controlled substance is the reason he was pulled from this weekend’s live WWE events. The WWE is still advertising Swagger to appear on Raw next week and he is still on the schedule for Tuesday night’s “Smackdown” taping.
Bleacher Report notes that Jack Swagger “was in the midst of the biggest push of his career,” which columnist C.I.M feels “now appears all but lost.”
Swagger is slated for next week’s Raw and Smackdown events, but it is not known if he will lose his spot on the WrestleMania 29 ticket. At this time the Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio is the only confirmed match for “The Granddaddy of Them All.”
