WWE power rankings: Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose on the rise

With Seth Rollins as the man who broke up the WWE’s strongest faction, The Shield, and then moving on to win the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase, one might consider him the star on the rise. However, the WWE power rankings released on Saturday sees his two former partners not only ranked above him, but also ranked in the top five. Here is a look at this week’s WWE power rankings.

The man at the top is no surprise as WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena sits alone in that spot. The 15-time world champion is on top of the WWE and is the face of the company once again, so until he loses the title, this spot remains his. However, Roman Reigns has skyrocketed up the WWE power rankings, the most viable contender to the world title with a huge feud with Randy Orton and Triple H brewing as well. No one is hotter in the WWE right now.

Randy Orton ranks third in this week’s WWE power rankings after beating Dean Ambrose on “WWE Monday Night Raw” and Chris Jericho on “WWE Smackdown,” proving he is on a streak heading into the upcoming title match at “WWE Battleground.” Right behind Orton is Sheamus, who might be on the verge of uniting the U.S. Championship and Intercontinental Championship. Dean Ambrose finished this week in fifth place after a hard fight with Orton on “Raw” and his continued disruption of every instance that Seth Rollins tries to cash in.

The entire Wyatt Family ranks sixth after a solid week of fighting the Usos and putting Chris Jericho through a living hell at every opportunity. Seth Rollins finally checks in at seventh thanks to failing in all his cash in opportunities thanks to his former partner Ambrose. The tag team champion Usos rank eighth, despite batting .500 this week with a loss to the Wyatt Family and a win over Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil. Kane ranks ninth and Cesaro finished this week’s WWE power rankings at 10th.
