In some exciting WWE news, the WWE will be sending a number of their superstars to Comic-Con 2014. The appearance by the WWE superstars will both be in conjunction with promoting the WWE, their video games and toys, and their upcoming movies. According to IGN on Monday, Daniel Bryan will be one of the WWE superstars appearing at Comic-Con 2014.

The appearance by the WWE superstars will take place during the co-hosted WWE/Mattel panel on Thursday, July 24, in Room 6DE. The WWE stars making an appearance will include Daniel Bryan, WWE Hall of Fame legend Hulk Hogan, announcer Michael Cole and manager Paul Heyman. Also appearing in different areas of the Comic-Con 2014 convention will be Kane and Hornswoggle.

Kane will be on hand promoting the WWE movie “See No Evil 2.” The sequel to the original WWE produced slasher movie will be directed by the Soska Twins, and that makes it an interesting prospect as they have built a solid reputation on the horror circuit as two of the best young horror film directors working today. If anything, it will make Kane’s next movie something more than just a generic slasher movie.

The Hornswoggle appearance will be to promote the re-booted “Leprechaun: Origins” movie franchise. While Hornswoggle has always played a leprechaun on WWE programming, he has often been a fun loving, prank pulling character. It will be interesting to see if he can bring the pure evil that is needed from the long standing horror franchise.

As for the WWE news concerning the other attendees, they will be there to talk about the WWE Network as well as promote the new toy and action figure releases for the company. While the names released are exciting, the WWE is leaving the door open that more surprises could show up at Comic-Con 2014.
