WWE news indicates that Mark Henry might have suffered a knee injury at a house show on Saturday night in Boston. According to PWInsider on Sept. 1, Mark Henry was running in on a match and seemed to hurt his knee when he was getting into the ring.
According to the site, no WWE sources were sure if the injury was a legitimate one or just a tweaked knee, but this could be bad news for Henry.
Mark Henry and Big Show are in a feud right now with The Shield, and Big Show announced on a recent episode of "WWE Monday Night Raw" that the two of them planned to challenge The Shield for the WWE tag team titles.
Interestingly, Mark Henry has not been in action the last couple of weeks, while Big Show has been a visible part of the Triple H power trip and the Daniel Bryan WWE title storyline. As a result, Big Show and Dolph Ziggler have been received beat downs by The Shield.
WWE rumors indicate that Big Show and Mark Henry would get the tag team title shots at "Night of Champions" while Dolph Ziggler would get a shot against Dean Ambrose for the U.S. Championship.
If the WWE news that Mark Henry is injured is accurate, then this could mess up the plans for "Night of Champions." However, if it is just a tweak then he should be able to continue fighting on. Whether Mark Henry and Big Show will become tag team champions is still unknown.
