The WWE just announced a lot of new names for their developmental stars, and the most popular indie star that just signed with the WWE just announced his new stage name. According to Wrestle Zone on Aug. 29, Sami Callihan will now be known as Solomon Crowe.
Sami unveiled his new name through his new Twitter account @WWECrowe where he said “from the ashes of Sami Callihan, Solomon Crowe was born… Soon the Songs of Solomon shall be sung…..”
Sami Callihan is another indie star that Triple H signed for his ever growing developmental program. Callihan has wrestled for Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), Insanity Pro Wrestling (IPW) and Dragon Gate USA. He is a brawler who actually began his career in the HWA with Dean Ambrose of The Shield.
Sami Callihan is just one of a number of wrestlers to get new names this week as the WWE starts to develop these young talents into WWE superstars. Other name changes include Stephen Cole renamed Cole Andrews, Britney Fetkin renamed Devin Taylor, Erika Hammond renamed Veronica Lane, Smith James renamed Bull Dempsey, Lexi Kaufman renamed Alexa Bliss, CJ Perry renamed LANA, Matt Silva renamed Buddy Murphy, Adam Scherr renamed Braun Stowman, and Rebecca Quinn renamed Becky Lynch.
The WWE renaming of Adam Scherr is puzzling, because he has a known name from the bodybuilding circuit.
