Brock Lesnar has been off WWE television for the last two weeks, at least when it comes to live appearances. When Lesnar won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, questions arose about how much he would appear on television since he has limited dates in his contract? So, when will Brock Lesnar return to WWE TV? PWS reported on Monday that Lesnar should be back on Sept. 15, the “WWE Monday Night Raw” before the “Night of Champions” pay-per-view.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that fans won’t hear plenty about Brock Lesnar. Last week, the WWE showed a sit down interview with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman where the two men talked about how Lesnar destroyed John Cena at “SummerSlam.” That interview was recorded the week before when Lesnar appeared on “WWE Monday Night Raw.”
Last night on “WWE Monday Night Raw,” there was a huge angle where Triple H tried to claim that John Cena shouldn’t fight Brock Lesnar at “Night of Champions” because of how bad Lesnar beat him at “SummerSlam.” Cena threatened a lawsuit and Triple H booked a huge six man match and asked people to impress him while he considered who deserved the WWE title shot.
So, so despite the fact that the Brock Lesnar return to WWE TV won’t happen for a couple of more weeks, that doesn’t mean that he isn’t still a major part of the “WWE Monday Night Raw” show. Paul Heyman actually said before Lesnar won the title from Cena that having the champion make limited appearances makes him showing up actually seem more special. Hopefully fans accept that because Lesnar remains a part time star, despite holding the biggest title in the WWE.
