Barrett missed the “Night of Champions” pay-per-view and expected to be back shortly after that. However, he also missed the “Battleground” event and still does not have his VISA issues worked out yet.
According to Barrett in a recent interview, he is working on getting a new VISA and has been waiting through a couple of “delays.” He said it is difficult for him to do anything without a passport but he is hoping the issue is worked out in the next few days.
There has also been word that Barrett will be undergoing a change of character when he returns to the WWE after getting his new VISA. Barrett said he is always looking for a change because there are very few people who can get away with not evolving or changing at all.
Barrett was involved in smaller feuds before his disappearance, mostly involved on the “WWE Main Event” show and sometimes challenging for the Intercontinental title. When fellow villain Curtis Axel won the belt, it left Barrett as a man with no direction.
Barrett said that when he returns, he hopes to make an impact, mentioning that he was disappointed in missing “Wrestlemania” this year and wants to be in next year’s event.
