In some interesting news, PWS reported on Monday that Triple H and Vince McMahon have been disagreeing lately about the main event for “Wrestlemania 31.” According to reports, Triple H wants Roman Reigns to battle Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the big show. Vince McMahon wants Brock Lesnar to battle The Rock, if he is available for the event.

The ideas here both make sense, but it seems that Triple H is looking out more for the future of the WWE while Vince McMahon is thinking of the instant financial success of the bigger match. When it comes to Triple H’s idea, the booking so far makes sense for a young star to beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. With Lesnar ending The Undertaker’s streak and then dominating John Cena at “Summerslam” last night, whoever beats him will become a major star.

On the other hand, The Rock and Brock Lesnar are the two biggest crossover stars in the WWE. Lesnar was a huge success in the UFC before returning to the WWE. The Rock has moved on to become one of Hollywood’s biggest movie stars. A match between them would be bigger than any other match the WWE could book when it comes to the mainstream audience. While Lesnar vs. Reigns would be better for the future of the WWE and make more sense from a story point of view, The Rock would be financially better for the one event.

In other WWE news, Brock Lesnar spoke to TMZ and made a very interesting comment. Lesnar said that he won’t carry two title belts now that he is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This goes with the rumors that the WWE planned to get rid of the two title belts and have one brand new belt with the new company logo on it replacing them. The new belts should be unveiled tonight on “WWE Monday Night Raw.”
