Triple H has fired Cody Rhodes and his wife Stephanie McMahon has humiliated Goldust and had Dusty Rhodes knocked out. Now, prowrestling.com reported on Sept. 25 that Triple H has invited them to "WWE Monday Night Raw" next week for a proposal.
This comes just two days after Cody Rhodes and Goldust jumped the rails to attack The Shield on "WWE Monday Night Raw" this week. According to a poll on WWE.com, 95-percent of online voters felt that both Cody Rhodes and Goldust should be rehired. As of Wednesday night, that meant that almost 25,000 people voted yes to bringing them back.
That caused Triple H to say, in a recorded interview with Michael Cole, that he wanted to invite the entire family to "WWE Monday Night Raw" for a proposal and to let them say whatever was on their mind. He also promised them the same safety he ensures all WWE superstars.
With Stephanie McMahon ordering beat downs at The Big Show's hands in recent weeks, as well as ordered attacks by The Shield, that promise means little.
Goldust tweeted that he needed to meet with his brother and father to discuss the invitation.
Of course, this storyline began when Cody Rhodes requested time off to get married and go on his honeymoon. With that completed, the story took on legs of its own, and with the inclusion of Goldust and Dusty Rhodes, it has become one of the more compelling stories on "WWE Monday Night Raw."
The rumor is that The Rhodes Family will battle The Shield at "WWE Battlegeound" for their jobs back, and this might be the setup for that match.
