During the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, The Shield shocked the wrestling world when they beat John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus by pinning Ryback. After following up with another six man win on "WWE Monday Night Raw," ESPN ranked them number on in their weekly WWE power rankings on Feb. 19.
"Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns proved that they can do more than hang with three of WWE’s most popular stars (John Cena, Sheamus and Ryback) -- they completely stole the show at Sunday night’s pay-per-view, outperforming main eventers The Rock and CM Punk, while showcasing a variety of double- and triple-team moves unseen in recent memory." - ESPN
The Shield have proven to be one of the best groups to come along in professional wrestling in a long time. They were introduced in a similar way as Nexus, but the WWE is booking The Shield like stars and they pinned Ryback and Chris Jericho on back-to-back nights to prove their bite is as good as their bark.
Coming in second was The Rock, who beat CM Punk for the second pay-per-view in a tow before introducing the world to a new WWE Championship belt that actually looks like a prestigious title and not a toy. Despite his loss to The Rock, CM Punk fought a hard match at Elimination Chamber and held on to the number three spot.
Alberto Del Rio beat The Big Show and then made Dolph Ziggler tap out the next night, to earn the fourth spot, Mark Henry continues to dominate in the fifth spot and Jack Swagger moved up to the sixth place after winning the Elimination Chamber match itself.
The final four spots feature Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho, John Cena and The Miz.
