WWE news: Tammy Sytch update on arrest and court case

Tammy Sytch, the former WWE Diva known as Sunny, ended up in jail for the sixth time last week. PWInsider reported on Jan. 29 that the details of this recent arrest have finally come to light.

Styles ended up in court on Jan. 28 and tearfully told the judge that her boyfriend, independent wrestler Damien Darling, assaulted her. The problem with this statement is that previous arrests ended with the court ordering Sytch to stay away from Darling.

Her arrest this time was for breaking that specific court order.

Sytch then claimed that Darling "lured" her to his home the night in question. This was accomplished because Sytch does not own a car and Darling came to pick her up and then drove her back to his house, even though she was not allowed to be there legally.

She then said that Darling gave her an engagement ring and asked her to come back to him. Later, she alleges that he assaulted her and she ended up "self medicating" to ease the pain. Tammy Sytch claims that she was the one abused and is now the one standing on trial. Police are investigating the alleged assault.

The problem is that Sytch told the police who arrested her that she had a key to the house and had lived there for two weeks, which violated the court order and means she either lied to the police or the judge. Damien Darling is the one who reported she was there to the police, who found her hiding in a shower.

The judge remanded her held in custody, despite the offered cash bond, and her own lawyer asked that her mental health be evaluated. The next court date for Tammy Sytch is Feb. 7.
