Nancy Grace butchered the WWE in a CNN news show after the death of The Ultimate Warrior. The WWE responded by banning their stars from talking to her at all. According to PWS on Wednesday, WWE Hall of Fame legend Rowdy Roddy Piper offered to represent the WWE on the Nancy Grace show but they decided he shouldn’t take the chance.
That was probably smart. According to Piper, he wanted to go on the show and he said he would eat Grace alive. He said that if the WWE did not want him to “rip Nancy into a new job” then he wouldn’t as a sign of respect. Piper probably isn’t the only person who wants to lay into Grace after her hatchet job.
After the death of Ultimate Warrior, Grace invited former WWE star Diamond Dallas Page onto her show to talk about the death. Page said he thought he was going on the show to pay respect to the life and death of Warrior. However, Grace had other plans and started ranting and raving about how the death was probably due to drugs.
Grace then stepped over the line and said that numerous WWE deaths were because of drugs. She had a photo of Owen Hart flash on the screen while making these claims. Of course, Hart died from an accident with wiring at a show. It had nothing to do with drugs. Ultimate Warrior’s death had nothing to do with drugs as well. Warrior died of heart disease, a similar reason that his father and grandfather both also died in their 50s.
Of course, Grace ignored the fact that she basically lied and threw out false accusations on the air. She has done this numerous times over her career anyway, such as in the Duke Lacrosse case. Instead, she said that she invited the WWE to return to her show to debate the use of drugs in the industry. Of course, that ignores the fact that she lied about Owen Hart dying based on drugs and insinuated that Ultimate Warrior did as well.
Instead, Nancy Grace wants to make an issue out of drug use to hide the fact that she did no research at all into her subject. Diamond Dallas Page already spoke out against her and the WWE have shut her out completely. While it would be humorous to see Rowdy Roddy Piper attack Nancy Grace, it won’t happen on her show.
