The WWE held one of their tryouts last week and three Ring of Honor stars showed up to the workouts. The three names who arrived were Kevin Steen, Roderick Strong and ACH. According to Wrestle View on March 26, Kevin Steen was very impressive to WWE officials.

The big knock on Kevin Steen is that he has always been a larger wrestler who looks nothing like a professional wrestler is supposed to look. One of the problems that he always had with Jim Cornette was that he would not lose weight to try to look more the role of a star.

Despite this, Steen held the Ring of Honor world title for a year and can pull off moves that men half his size can't achieve. Plus, he has great mic skills. Steen also is the former tag team partner of WWE NXT star Sami Zayn, who wrestled in Ring of Honor as El Generico.

For his WWE tryout, he actually dropped some weight before showing up and passed the WWE's physical training requirements. He is said to have impressed officials with his work ethic and desire to impress.

Steen's contract with Ring of Honor ends in June and he has said that he does not plan to sign a new one, but will instead work as a free agent for Ring of Honor, similar to Chris Hero.

Roderick Strong, another former ROH world champion, faces the same uphill battle than Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards faced, but ACH is an interesting WWE option because of his cruiserweight size and speed.
