There was a lot of misinformation following the huge "WWE Monday Night Raw" event in Seattle when the crowd hijacked the title ascension promo to chant for Daniel Bryan. According to Rajah.com on Dec. 19, those rumors were false and the WWE was actually happy with how things worked out on the show.
The promo was supposed to bring attention to the title unification match between John Cena and Randy Orton, but the fans voiced their displeasure that Daniel Bryan was not involved and would not stop chanting his name, throwing off Triple H as he made the introductions.
When John Cena took the mic after Randy Orton's promo, he went off script and acknowledged Daniel Bryan in the ring and promised that, if he won the unification match, he would give Bryan a fair rematch for the title. The rumors flew around that the WWE was angry with Cena for going off script and putting focus on Bryan once again.
However, it turns out those rumors were false.
WWE officials were happy with John Cena's promo because he was able to make the fans happy by promising Daniel Bryan a title shot and then smoothly turning the attention back to the title ascension and the unification match. It was a great promo and proof that sometimes improvising is better when situations like this pop up.
