After suffering a concussion last week in his steel cage match, it looked like Daniel Bryan would be out of action for a few weeks. However, he was medically cleared to return to action last night and prowrestling.com reported on Jan. 20 that Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt has been added to this weekend's "Royal Rumble" pay-per-view.
This means two very important things. First, it means the concussion Bryan suffered was not as serious as originally believed. Second, it means that Daniel Bryan will not be wrestling in the main event for the WWE World Championship at "Wrestlemania 30."
Of course, the winner of the Royal Rumble match will get the WWE World Championship title shot at "Wrestlemania 30." When Bryan made his announcement last night that he would be getting a match with Bray Wyatt, he said that Luke Harper and Erick Rowan would be in the Rumble event itself, which freed up Bray Wyatt for him.
This means that neither Bryan Wyatt nor Daniel Bryan will be in the Rumble match.
In other big "Royal Rumble" news, CM Punk was named the first entrant in the event by Kane, in what looks to be another move by The Authority to hurt CM Punk's chances of being in the main event of "Wrestlemania 30."
Here is a look at who all will be in the WWE Royal Rumble match so far: Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Damien Sandow, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Bad News Barrett, Fandango, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Batista, Alberto Del Rio, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Big E Langston, Xavier Woods, R-Truth, Cody Rhodes and Goldust.
