WWE news: New Age Outlaws added to 'Royal Rumble' pay-per-view

What looked like just another pair of WWE legends making an appearance at the old school "WWE Monday Night Raw" show might have become a more long-term deal. According to PWS on Jan. 20, The New Age Outlaws have been added to the "Royal Rumble" pay-per-view and will actually get a WWE world tag team title match.

On that old school "WWE Monday Night Raw" episode, The New Age Outlaws came out to help CM Punk against The Shield. Everything ended with Jake "The Snake" Roberts coming out and putting his snake on Dean Ambrose.

Things did not remain rosy for The New Age Outlaws and CM Punk.

The next week, they teamed up with CM Punk to battle The Shield, and when Punk tried to tag out, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg turned their backs on him and walked out. That allowed The Shield to beat down Punk.

A few nights later on "Smackdown," CM Punk called out both The New Age Outlaws and The Shield to fight, but ended up getting choke slammed by Kane for his troubles. It was pretty obvious that the Outlaws standings as members of Degeneration X meant that they were there to back up Triple H in his vendetta against CM Punk.

The New Age Outlaws then got a non-title match against Goldust and Cody Rhodes and won the match. Thanks to that, the team will get a WWE tag team title shot at the "Royal Rumble" and word is they will be sticking around.
