WWE news: Ken Shamrock says CM Punk would have no chance in UFC

With CM Punk’s days in the WWE coming to a close, a lot of questions surround where he will end up next. One thought is that he could try out his hand at mixed martial arts and the UFC, however in an interview with Riv & Landen on March 13, former UFC Champion and WWE superstar Ken Shamrock feels that Punk has no chance.

According to Shamrock, the UFC is where the experienced fighters compete and Punk would fail if he tried to start there. He said the only way that Punk would make it is if he started at the bottom, in a smaller promotion, since he has no experience in the Octagon.

Shamrock has a good point.

While Brock Lesnar jumped from the WWE to the UFC and quickly became the UFC Heavyweight Champion, Lesnar is just a huge physical specimen and won just based on his power. However, Batista and Bobby Lashley, two more powerful men, left the WWE for MMA fighting and neither were successful.

However, Ken Shamrock also had some unkind words for CM Punk. He finished by saying that Punk walked out of the WWE because he suffers from “spoiled brat syndrome.”
