WWE news: Jerry Springer to appear on Monday Night Raw

According to a Sept. 2 report from Cageside Seats, world-renowned talk show host, Jerry Springer, is set to appear on next week's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Springer, 70, will be featured in a segment with Brie and Nikki Bella, as he will be moderating a discussion to help them squash their beef.

Of course, WWE Universe knows how this situation will end. In all likelihood, Brie and Nikki Bella will start yelling at each other, before throwing punches. Springer will probably sit back and laugh, as the crowd chants "Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!" Is it a good look for the WWE? Absolutely.

Brie and Nikki Bella are slated to collide with each other later this month at Night of Champions, so segments like this can help hype the match. The WWE is brilliantly using episodes of WWE Monday Night Raw and SmackDown to hype the upcoming fight between Brie and Nikki Bella.

Michael Sam was also asked to appear as a guest host on WWE Monday Night Raw, but he apparently did not accept. At present time, the rumor is that Springer will be the only guest host on WWE Monday Night Raw. The only match announced for next week's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw is a collision between Chris Jericho and Bray Wyatt.

Next week's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw emanates from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. It airs live Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. on the USA Network. John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Jericho, Triple H, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, The Wyatt Family and Kane have been confirmed for the show.
