The WWE has not released any update on his condition, but is has been reported that doctors discovered a mass on his brain. Roberts was still unconscious as of the evening of Aug. 28. More details are sure to emerge in the days and weeks ahead, as more tests are done. Obviously, the hope is that Roberts will make a full recovery and that his illness is not life-threatening.

Roberts, a WWE Hall of Famer, is one of the most popular babyface characters in WWE history. Unfortunately, he has been suffering from various health issues since 2007. Seven years ago, Roberts was admitted into a 14-week voluntary rehab program by the WWE, after falling into a rough lifestyle that included hard drinking and drug use.

By 2012, Roberts was horribly out of shape and near-death. Luckily, former wrestler Diamond Dallas Page helped Roberts get clean and sober, with a special yoga program. Roberts weighed close to 300 pounds and could barely walk, when Page came through with a program that saved his life. Sadly, Roberts was diagnosed with muscular cancer just below his knee in 2014.

It has been a rough year for WWE fans, as The Ultimate Warrior passed away shortly after Wrestlemania 30. Heading into the morning of Aug. 29, WWE Universe will surely be praying for Roberts to make a full recovery. Roberts rose to prominence in the WWF in the '90s, as he brought a live snake into the ring. His high-level wrestling skills and slick work on the mic helped turn him into a fan favorite.
