Hogan spent much of the past few years in TNA Impact Wrestling, and while he took some bumps in their wrestling ring, he has mostly been retired from actually wrestling for a few years now. When he signed on with the WWE for this new deal, it was mostly to make appearances and to be a promotional guy for the WWE. However, even when he was working on his contract with the WWE, Hogan said that he was working out to get back into ring shape.

The WWE didn’t seem to have any intentions of letting Hulk Hogan wrestle again. Ever since Jerry “The King” Lawler had his heart attack at the announcer’s booth, right after wrestling in the ring, the WWE has started a strict conditioning medical test that all competitors will have to take. Don’t expect Lawler to ever wrestle in the WWE ring again after that heart attack. While Ric Flair has returned and will take bumps here and there, don’t expect him to ever wrestle a WWE match again.

With Hulk Hogan’s bad back, don’t expect him to wrestle again either. However, don’t expect Hogan to stop trying to convince Vince McMahon to let him back into the ring again. He said that he wants to make sure he is ready to wrestle again, but that is his eventual goal so he can leave fans with something to remember him by. Also, don’t discount the idea because PWS reported after the interview that the WWE views Hogan as a retired wrestler but he can almost call his own shots at this time.
