During the Hulk Hogan birthday celebration on “WWE Monday Night Raw,” Brock Lesnar interrupted the party and came to the ring to confront Hogan and his legendary wrestling fans. However, Lesnar went off script and improvised a line that was actually quite funny when he said “party’s over grandpa.” However, TMZ reported on Wednesday that Hogan wasn’t amused and said it wasn’t cool at all.
Hogan said that Brock Lesnar shouldn’t have said that in front of his wife and kids. He actually went on to make comments about how professional wrestling is entertainment, and they are supposed to have fun with it, but Lesnar stepped over the line when he called him grandpa in front of his wife and kids. In an interesting bit of irony, Hulk Hogan is 61 years old, so the only real insult was that he isn’t a grandfather yet.
Of course, this is the WWE and it is professional wrestling, so there is no telling how much of this is scripted and how much of it is staged for the storyline purposes. The night that Brock Lesnar won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from John Cena, TMZ actually showed up outside a steak restaurant that Lesnar and Paul Heyman were eating at. They asked about the two titles and Lesnar said he wouldn’t carry two belts.
The next night on “WWE Monday Night Raw,” the WWE revealed their new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt. The word is that the WWE tipped off TMZ that Lesnar was going to be at the restaurant so he could drop that line to hint at the title belt unveiling. With that said, there is a chance that TMZ could once again have been tipped off about where to find Hulk Hogan to start a new storyline with Brock Lesnar.
