In some very surprising WWE news, Hall of Fame superstar Harley Race did an interview with Between the Ropes on April 3 and said he would be surprised if Daniel Bryan wins the WWE World Championship at "Wrestlemania 30."
While Bryan is heading into "Wrestlemania 30" as an underdog, that wasn't the reason that Harley Race discounted the chances of Bryan winning. According to Race, there is a different between talking a big match and being able to perform great matches every night of the week.
With that as the reason that Race said he would be surprised to see Bryan win the WWE World Championship at "Wrestlemania 30," it sounds like he doesn't see much value in Bryan as an in-ring performer.
One has to wonder if he has seen Bryan wrestle very much?
Before Bryan hit the WWE, he wrestled all over the world with five star matches in Ring of Honor, Japan and indies all over America. It was much like the old territory days where Harley Race himself came from. Race, an eight-time NWA World Champion, should know how hard that is.
Since arriving in the WWE, Daniel Bryan has consistently put on emotionally captivating matches against wrestlers of all speeds and sizes. Then again, when asked who the best wrestler in the world is today, Race said he feels Triple H is the best in the game right now.
Daniel Bryan and Triple H face off at "Wrestlemania 30" on Sunday, April 6.
