Dean Ambrose did a recent interview about his role in the WWE and the comparisons of himself to WWE Hall of Fame legend Rowdy Roddy Piper. According to Rajah.com on Jan. 3, Ambrose said that The Shield was the backbone of the WWE at this time.

What Ambrose meant was that he, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were extremely dedicated to always putting on the best match on the show. He said that their work ethic as a team, both in preparation and in the matches themselves, was something that rubbed off on everyone they worked with in the ring.

Ambrose said the most important thing is that the members of The Shield never take a night off when their job is to perform - whether it is one match or numerous ones.

He was also asked about the numerous comparisons to that of WWE legend and Hall of Fame wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper. This comparison was something that Ambrose said he could only take as a compliment.

Ambrose noted that Piper was a good draw who made a lot of money for the WWE and was a star for them for a long time. He said the comparisons are nice, but he hasn't done anything for the company yet. He explained that he has done everything the WWE has asked of him and is working as hard as he can, but there is a lot that fans of the WWE have not seen from him yet.

According to Dean Ambrose, when the WWE opportunity strikes, he has a lot in his back pocket to showcase to the fans.
