When sources said the WWE was re-booting their storylines this past week on “WWE Monday Night Raw,” fears swept through Daniel Bryan’s fan base that he was being pushed out of the title picture. According to PWS on Nov. 2, Bryan has in fact been removed from the title picture.
Sources say that the WWE is happy that they have turned Bryan into a star over the past few months and they believe that he can compete with the main event stars in the company. However, there is no intention of allowing him to win a major championship at this time.
Instead, the WWE will push Randy Orton as the heel champion and bring Big Show up to feud with him for now. Bryan, as well as CM Punk, will be pushed down the card to feud with the Wyatt Family. There are thoughts that, with Bryan and Punk as legitimate main event talent, they can help elevate the Wyatt Family into the main event scene as well.
There is also thought that the WWE could bring Daniel Bryan back into the WWE Championship title scene at a later time if needed. However, after months of chasing the WWE title, it looks like the Daniel Bryan storyline will not have the happy ending that many fans have been cheering for since “Summerslam.”
