CM Punk walked out on the WWE the night after the “Royal Rumble.” Some people have been reporting online that it is all a work and he was going to return at the “WWE Monday Night Raw” in his hometown of Chicago last week. He never came back, but Wrestle Zone reported on March 13 that Punk will finally return to television this weekend.
CM Punk is scheduled to appear on the new episode of “Talking Dead” on Sunday night, the talk show that follows every new episode of “The Walking Dead” on AMC. The show is not advertising him as CM Punk, and instead is advertising him under his real name of Phil Brooks.
The word is that some backstage in the WWE are bitter that Punk is appearing on the show, filmed live in Los Angeles. Every week, the host Chris Hardwick speaks to celebrities as well as cast and crew members of “The Walking Dead” about what happened on the show that night and speculate on where it might be headed.
The idea is that WWE administrators are angry that Punk will fly to California to appear on the show but wouldn’t come to “WWE Monday Night Raw” to discuss his contract situation and try to talk things over with the WWE. There are also fears that CM Punk might talk about the problems with the WWE, although chances of that are slim.
