The WWE news of a Batista return was spoiled last week thanks to advertisements that went out with his name on them. Instead of just ignoring the online spoilers and trying to keep his actual return a surprise, PWS reported on Dec. 23 that the WWE just threw in the towel and announced exactly when the Batista return will take place.
What could have been a huge surprise return, on the same level as when Brock Lesnar returned two years ago, has now been spoiled. Batista will make his WWE return on "WWE Monday Night Raw" on Jan. 20, 2014. That will put him back in the WWE one week before the "Royal Rumble" pay-per-view.
Early rumors about his return indicated that the Batista return would be at the "Royal Rumble," where he would go on to win it and face Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at "Wrestlemania 30." It looks like the WWE pushed up his return by one week thanks to the spoilers, and Batista might make his intentions clear before he makes his "Royal Rumble" appearance.
Word is that Triple H and Batista have been working on this return fore a couple of months now an Batista has been bulking up for the big return. He is supposed to be coming back on a full time basis, unlike Brock Lesnar who just made random appearances. He should be back full time until it is time to promote his next movie, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy."
There is also rumors that, if he does not fight Randy Orton at "Wrestlemania 30," he could be The Undertaker's next opponent there, as Undertaker just agreed to wrestle at this year's big event over the last week.
