WWE news: AJ Lee to continue feud with Paige on Monday Night Raw

According to an Aug. 31 report from Sportskeeda, WWE Monday Night Raw returns on Sept. 1, with a stacked card that will air live on the USA Network from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. With just three weeks to go before the Night of Champions pay-per-view spectacular, WWE Monday Night Raw is expected to help tie up some of the loose storylines heading into that event.

The biggest angle is WWE is currently working with revolves around AJ Lee and Paige. Essentially, the WWE has scripted both Paige and Lee to out-weird each other. Paige had been acting like the crazier one heading into SummerSlam, but the WWE's creative team recently scripted Lee to eat a chocolate that the British superstar spat out. No one seems to know where the WWE is taking the Paige vs. Lee angle, but the ladies are expected to collide at Night of Champions.

Elsewhere on WWE Monday Night Raw in Iowa, the Bella twins -- Brie and Nikki -- are expected to continue their feud. Nikki and Brie Bella have been squabbling since SummerSlam, and the ladies are expected to battle it out with each other at Night of Champions. Since Brie and Nikki Bella are sisters in real life, their feud is especially intriguing. Nikki Bella made a shocking heel turn at SummerSlam, when she smashed Brie to the mat during her match against Stephanie McMahon.

In other action, Bray Wyatt is slated to duke it out with Chris Jericho. Rumor has it that Jericho will be taking a brief hiatus from the WWE following Night of Champions, so the promotion will likely want him to help get Wyatt over. At one point, Wyatt was a budding megastar and a top candidate as the WWE's greatest heel. Wyatt very well might still be, but he has been losing matches of late.

Night of Champions will be Wyatt's chance to become the star he was meant to be, and that all starts at WWE Monday Night Raw. The show is also slated to feature a confrontation between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, two former teammates in The Shield. Since Sheamus was recently booked to put his title on the line against Cesaro at Night of Champions, there may be a confrontation between them as well on WWE Monday Night Raw.
