WWE Network finally announced after months of speculation

It's been months in the making (or potentially YEARS if you're a longtime fan), but WWE finally announced the launch of their much-anticipated WWE Network on Wednesday night.

The announcement, which was held in Las Vegas, comes after being delayed several times. But it was well worth the wait for what was described as being included in the network. Here's a basic description of what will be associated with the WWE Network:

The network will be a 24/7 on-demand style service similar to Netflix and Hulu Plus, with streaming content and live shows. In addition, you can watch all 12 monthly WWE pay per views including the annual extravaganza known as WrestleMania. There will be interactive shows such as "WWE Countdown," where fans are given the power to vote on the best finishers, wrestlers, and moments in the company's history. WWE Network will include groundbreaking original programming, reality shows, documentaries, classic matches and more than 1,500 hours of video on demand at launch.

Fans will also have the opportunity to relive history with every single WWE, WCW, and ECW pay per view in history. If you've ever wanted to see the biggest moments in the history of sports-entertainment, this is the ultimate opportunity.

Fans can subscribe to WWE Network beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET on Monday, February 24, at, and for a limited time will be offered a free one week trial. WWE Network, the first 24/7 network delivered directly to fans through over-the-top digital distribution, will be available on desktops and laptops via WWE Network will also be available through the WWE App on: Amazon’s Kindle Fire devices; Android devices such as Samsung Galaxy; iOS devices such as Apple iPad and iPhone; Roku streaming devices; Sony PlayStation 3 and Sony PlayStation 4; and Xbox 360. Availability on additional devices, including Xbox One and select Smart TVs, will follow this summer.

WWE rolled out the plans for the network by having several of their superstars in attendance including Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, and John Cena. They introduced the layout of the WWE Network, and the programming that will be made available.

That leaves two questions to be answered. How much is the WWE Network going to cost, and when will it be made available? The first question can be answered simply as $9.99, with a six-month commitment.

If you think about it, it would be worth the price tag. If you ordered every single WWE pay per view including WrestleMania, you would pay nearly $700 a year. The WWE Network will give you access to every pay per view past and present, and classic moments uncut and uncensored.

As for WHEN it will be available, John Cena came out and addressed that the network will be available following its flagship program, "Monday Night Raw" on February 24th. It will launch at 11:05 P.M. Eastern, immediately following the conclusion of the program.
