Nelson Frazier who wrestling fans remember as Mabel, Viscera, and Big Daddy V for his time with WWE, passed away yesterday at 43 from an apparent heart attack. WWE confirmed the sad news today via their official website.

Frazier started his his WWE career in 1993 as Mabel and one half of the tag team Men on the Mission. Years later, he transformed into a darker character named Viscera who was a minion in the Undertaker’s Ministry of Darkness.

During WWE’s revamped version of ECW, Frazier dominated foes as Big Daddy V. Nelson’s long wrestling career was not without it’s share of championship gold as he held the WWE Tag Team and Hardcore titles along with winning the 1995 King of the Ring.

Pro Wrestling Examiner’s Perspective: No matter what you want to call him, Nelson Frazier had a long and fairly successful career in pro wrestling filled with a variety of characters. He may have never been the main event or the most dynamic in-ring guy, but the sheer fact he worked so long long in the highly competitive world of the WWE is admirable. Nelson Frazier should be warmly remembered as one of the best ‘big men’ in the modern era.
