WWE Monday Night Raw results: Brock Lesnar returns

WWE Monday Night Raw on Jan. 28 featured the fallout from the Royal Rumble pay per view and featured the set up for the Elimination Chamber WWE Championship main event. The show also featured Raw Roulette and Brock Lesnar returning to attack Mr. McMahon. Here is what happened on the recent episode of Raw.

The show opened with CM Punk coming out to the ring with Paul Heyman in tow. Punk is furious and starts raving like a lunatic about Vince McMahon screwing him and The Rock stealing his WWE Championship. The entire time, Heyman is standing behind him not saying anything.

Vince McMahon interrupts the rant and says he has proof that The Shield was working with Heyman to protect Punk's WWE Championship reign. Punk refuses to believe it and keeps ranting, but Heyman looks worried. Later in the show, McMahon planned to meet with Heyman, where he threatened he could fire the manager.

The first match was a non-title match between U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro and Randy Orton. The Raw Roulette named this a "Special Guest Ref" match and The Miz came out to referee the match. He ended up distracting Cesaro and Orton picked up the win with the RKO.

Next up is a comedy sequence with a "Make Me Laugh" match between Ryback and the Prime Time Players. This started with Titus Young telling a joke and then Ryback destroyed both of them. Then Ryback hit Matt Striker with the Shell Shock.

Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett got to choose his own opponent next and chose NXT star Bo Dallas, the man who eliminated him from the Royal Rumble. Dallas came down and put on a good fight before getting a surprise win with a quick powerslam on Barrett. Huge upset and it looks like Dallas is here to stay.

The next match was Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena in a straight match. Rhodes tried to leave, saying this was a waste of his time, but Cena gave chase, threw him back into the ring, and picked up the quick win. After that, Cena took forever to say that he was going to fight the WWE Champion, regardless of whether it is The Rock or CM Punk, at Wrestlemania.

However, before he could leave, The Shield came out and attacked him. Sheamus and Ryback tried to help, but The Shield slammed Ryback head first into the ring steps, Sheamus shoulder first into the ring post and hit the triple powerbomb on Cena, leaving all three men laid out as they left, taking out three of the top stars in the company.

Next up is more comedy, as Tensai and Brodus Clay are supposed to fight in a lingerie pillow fight. Tensai walked off and Vicki changed her mind and made a dance off. However, no one told Tensai who showed up in lingerie. Then they danced.

Alberto Del Rio got a body slam challenge match with Big Show. However, Big Show sucker punched Del Rio, duct taped him to the ropes and beat the crap out of Ricardo Rodriguez as Del Rio looked on helplessly. Finally Big Show knocked out Del Rio and left both men unconscious in the ring.

In a Lumber-Jill's match, Kaitlyn and Tamina fought to a no-contest when all the girls started fighting.

The Rock came out next for his celebration promo as the new WWE Champion. He thanked the crowd for their support and then CM Punk came out. He went nuts, saying that he brought prestige to the title and The Rock flushed it all away by being a joke. He then challenged The Rock to a match at the Elimination Chamber since Rock never shows up at house shows. It was a great promo by Punk.

The next match was a Tables Match between Sheamus and Damien Sandow. The match was great, and Sandow looked fantastic, but Sheamus won with White Noise through a table.

Chris Jericho came out next to let everyone know he was back. Dolph Ziggler came out with Big E Langston and AJ Lee. Ziggler wanted to know why Jericho was there because he was fired. Vickie Guerrero came on the Titantron and said she signed Jericho to a new contract and set up a tag match, with Jericho and Ziggler teaming up to fight Team Hell No.

Team Hell No began to argue with each other. While Kane's back was turned, Ziggler tagged himself in so Jericho hit Kane in the back and jumped out of the ring. Kane turned, saw Ziggler and choke slammed him for the win while Jericho smiled.

Next up, the WWE announced Trish Stratus as the third inductee of the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame class.

Next up, Vince McMahon called out Paul Heyman. After Heyman guaranteed that he had nothing to do with The Shield, McMahon played a video of Heyman having The Shield beat up Brad Maddox. As revenge, Maddox turned over video footage to McMahon.

However, just as Vince McMahon was about to yell "You're Fired," Brock Lesnar showed up. Paul started screaming for Lesnar to leave, but Lesnar put Paul in the corner. Then Paul started yelling for Vince to leave, but Vince didn't. That is when Lesnar grabbed Vince and hit the F5, leaving Vince laid out before finally leaving with Paul Heyman to end the show.
