John Cena opened the show by coming to the ring and stating that his elbow is so damaged that he will have to leave the WWE to get it surgically repaired. He announced he will be out for four to six months and then introduced the man who deserves to be the WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan.
Before Bryan could say anything, Stephanie McMahon came out. She talked down to Bryan, said he was good, a “B+” as a matter of fact, but not WWE championship material. That set off Bryan, so Stephanie had him thrown out of the building.
The first match saw Cody Rhodes defeat Damien Sandow for the second time in a row.
Paul Heyman came out next and said he wanted CM Punk to apologize to him and they could team together once again.
The Funkadactyls beat Layla and AJ Lee next. After that, Dolph Ziggler had to fight The Shield in a handicap match since he talked bad about Triple H the night before. The Shield won the match in about six minutes.
Alberto Del Rio came out next and fought Sin Cara. The match ended after one minute when it looked like Sin Cara broke his wrist. Ricardo Rodriguez came out next and said he was not representing Rob Van Dam, who attacked Del Rio, before the champ made the escape.
The Prime Time Players beat the Real Americans in the next match when Darren Young pinned Antonio Cesaro. After that, Big Show had to fight The Shield in a handicap match because he badmouthed Triple H last night. He put on a great fight, but lost in the end.
CM Punk came out next. When Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel came out, Punk refused to apologize and challenged Axel, who accepted. This was non-sanctioned and Axel almost broke Punk’s ankle, but Punk fought back and destroyed Axel.
Bray Wyatt made his “WWE Monday Night Raw” debut and beat R-Truth in just over one minute. The match wasn’t that great, but it made Wyatt long strong. The Usos followed that match by beating 3MB. In the next match, The Miz fought Wade Barrett, and won by DQ when Fandango attacked him.
Finally, the end came when Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H stood in the ring and Triple H explained that he had to help Randy Orton win the title because it was what was best for the company. He then called out Randy Orton, who thanked him. Then they called out Daniel Bryan to get whatever he wanted to say off his chest. Bryan came out but The Shield beat him up. When he finally got in the ring, Orton hit the RKO and “WWE Monday Night Raw” ended with Triple H, Randy Orton and the McMahons celebrating.
