"WWE Monday Night Raw" aired on Feb. 11 and gave the WWE one last chance to make a push heading into this weekend's Elimination Chamber pay per view. Here is a look at what happened on the go-home show of "Raw."
The room opened with Paul Heyman standing in the ring alone. Earlier in the day, it was rumored that Heyman had a major announcement and that announcement was that he was quitting the WWE to keep Vince McMahon from keeping on taking out his aggression on CM Punk. However, Punk came out and told Heyman that he wanted him by his side on Sunday at the pay per view and convinced him to stay with him.
It's almost enough to sense one of them will turn on the other on Sunday.
In the first match, Mark Henry beat Great Khali with the World's Greatest Slam, and then after the match did the same to Hornswoggle. This convinced Booker T to enter Henry in the Elimination Chamber match. Then Chris Jericho showed up and said he wanted in the match. Booker T told Jericho to beat Daniel Bryan to earn a spot and then Y2J did a brilliant Booker T impersonation.
Next up, Vince McMahon called Vickie Guerrero while Heyman was in the room. Paul took the phone and asked for the match Sunday to have a stipulation where if Rock is counted out or disqualified, he loses the title to Punk. McMahon agreed.
The WWE presented a video about the career of WWE Hall of Fame star Bruno Sammartino.
Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan then fought next. The bout was a nice 10-plus minute match that both men looked great in. Both men escaped the others submission holds and then Jericho hit the code breaker out of nowhere for the win. Jericho is now in the Elimination Chamber.
Up next, Sheamus, Ryback and John Cena teamed up to beat 3MB. After the match, they each took turns saying something about The Shield.
Big Show came out next. When Matt Striker tried to interview him, Show knocked him out. Big Show stood in the ring for awhile with the mic but then just dropped it and walked out.
In the next match, Jack Swagger came out with his new manager to fight Zack Ryder. After Swagger destroyed Ryder, his manager Zeb Colter took the mic and cut a pro-American promo/anti-immigrant promo. For old school fans, the manager is Dirty Dutch Mantell (with a new name).
Next up, The Miz fought Cody Rhodes with Antonio Cesaro doing commentary. Antonio tried to attack Miz during the match, but Miz caught him and kicked him in the head. Miz then started to go to town on Cody but then Antonio slammed Miz's head into the turnbuckle. After the match, Antonio lifted Miz by the feet and slammed into the barrier six or seven times. Wonder if that was payback for the CM Punk injury over the weekend.
The new tag team of Brodus Clay and Tensai took on Primo and Epico next. The big men won a squash match and after the match the Funkadactals took out Rosa Mendes and all four good guys danced in the ring together.
The Shield came out to the ring next and cut a fantastic promo against John Cena, talking about how he is the man they blame for everything they stand against. They called out Cena, Sheamus and Ryback but no one showed up. Finally, when it looked like no one was coming, the lights went out and when they came on, the three faces were in the ring attacking The Shield. The Shield finally got away.
The next match Alberto Del Rio beat Damien Sandow in a quick squash match. Before the next match, Wade Barrett was heading to the ring and Bo Dallas attacked him. In the actual match, Barrett fought Kofi Kingston and won the short match. After the match, Barrett yelled for Bo Dallas.
Dolph Ziggler found out that Chris Jericho was back in the Elimination Chamber match because he is still angry that Jericho came back after Ziggler beat him. As a result he asked to be in the match and Booker T made him fight Kane and win if he wants to get in. In a shock, AJ Lee tried to interfere for Ziggler but when she was knocked off the apron, it distracted Ziggler long enough for Kane to hit the choke slam for the win.
The Rock came out to end the show and spent most of his promo telling a story about when he was a kid living in Tennessee. Finally, he was interrupted by CM Punk who came out. Rock challenged him to come to the ring, so Punk did and the two fought. Heyman tripped The Rock when he was trying the People's Elbow and Punk hit the GTS. The show ended with Punk stealing the WWE Championship.
