The WWE has the "Battleground" pay-per-view coming up this weekend, and that would make this the last "Monday Night Raw" for statements to be made. Well, on the evening of Sept. 30, 2013, there were a number of scores to be settled and some that continued on, but now, it's time to learn the full results.
Below is a full recap of "Raw" so if you haven't read the show, then stop reading now.
~ CM Punk came out to start the show off and talked about how predictable it was last week that he would be beaten up in his hometown. Punk then goes through how the booking will go before Brad Maddox came out and told Punk to calm down, but then put him into an immediate match with Big E Langston.
Langston used his strength to overpower Punk a lot, and it turned into a pretty good match. Punk had a big comeback and ended up hitting and elbow off the top rope and then the GTS for the win.
~ Kofi Kingston defeated Fandango in a relatively short match. The Fandango gimmick has died. Bray Wyatt came out after the match for another weird, but good, promo.
~ Los Matadores make their debut. They are called Diego and Fernando and have a little person with them dressed as a bull. They defeated 3MB in a match that can't even begin to be explained.
~ Triple H and Stephanie McMahon invited the Rhodes' family out to the ring and they get Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes, and Goldust. Steph made a match for Sunday, and if Cody and Goldust could beat Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, then they get their job back. If they lose, they can never work for WWE again and Dusty loses his job as a trainer. Dusty will be in his boys' corner, and then The Shield attacked. They destroyed the Rhodes and left.
~ R-Truth hit the Lie Detector on Curtis Axel to pick up the win, but he was helped by CM Punk's music playing and distracting him.
~ Brie Bella defeated Alicia Fox. Another boring Diva's match.
~ Paul Heyman was backstage and actually said he would propose to Ryback later. R-Truth then asked for an Intercontinental Title shot and then Big Show held Brad Maddox up against a wall demanding to see Triple H.
~ Alberto del Rio defeated Zack Ryder with the cross armbreaker. This is a much better match than anyone would expect as Ryder was quite competitive in it and there were a couple of times when he was in control for quite a while. Not bad at all.
~ Paul Heyman came out to the match with Ryback and they did their whole shtick about bullies and they talked about how much they mean to one another. Heyman got down on one knee and asked Ryback if he would be a Paul Heyman guy.
CM Punk came out, but was injured and fell down. As the doctor checked on him, Punk jumped up, grabbed a kendo stick and hit Heyman, Ryback, and even Axel who came running out. Axel also got nailed with a GTS to end the segment.
~ The Shield defeated the Usos and Dolph Ziggler in a great six-man tag match. There was a lot of action in this match and some back-and-forth throughout. The ending came as all six men ended up in the ring before Roman Reigns made a blind tag. Ziggler nailed Rollins with a Zig Zag, but as he turned around, Reigns hit the spear for the win.
~ Triple H and Stephanie show up backstage to rip on Big Show and how he hasn't been measuring up at work or with his wife. Rob Van Dam also gave a promo in which he said he is hardcore.
~ Antonio Cesaro lost again - for some reason - to Santino. One of the coolest things happened during this match though and it was that Cesaro locked the airplane swing on Santino and swung him around 26 times.
~ Jerry Lawler brings out Daniel Bryan and then Randy Orton. They go back and forth with insults for this main event interview. The fans are firmly, and obviously, on Bryan's side with numerous "Yes" chants. Bryan attacks Orton after talking about his engagement to Brie Bella. Bryan then attacks Orton.
Orton destroys Bryan and leaves him out cold in the ring as Brie checks on her fiance. Orton comes back, takes apart the announcer's table, and gives Bryan an RKO through it to end the show.
