A mere 24 hours removed from WWE "SummerSlam," and there is a lot happening in the world of wrestling. Brock Lesnar decimated John Cena for the title. Rey Mysterio is in a bit of hot water. On the evening of Aug. 18, 2014, though, it was time for WWE "Monday Night Raw" and time for new battles to be put into place for the future.
If you have not yet seen the show or simply don't want to know the results, then stop reading now.
~ Daniel Bryan's music hits, but Stephanie McMahon comes out instead. She wished John Cena a speedy recovery and rips on Brie Bella. Nikki Bella comes out and says it was her sister that turned on her instead of her on her sister. Brie then comes out and wants forgiveness, but Nikki slaps her and sends her out crying.
~ The World's Largest Tag Team (Big Show and Mark Henry) defeated The Wyatt Family in a rather blah match. The ending came when Show hit the Knockout Punch on Harper and then on Rowan and Henry hit the World's Strongest Slam for the pin.
~ Seth Rollins was being interviewed but got ice water dumped on him by Dean Ambrose. Ambrose then said, "What? It's for charity!" in reference to the Ice Bucket Challenge. Triple H then gave Rollins a rematch with Ambrose and wanted the fans to pick the stipulation.
~ Natalya defeated Paige in a non-title match when AJ Lee came out and distracted Paige.
~ Triple H and Stephanie came out and presented Brock Lesnar, with Paul Heyman, with the new WWE title. Heyman then cut a great promo building up Lesnar and how much he destroyed Cena the night before.
~ Dolph Ziggler lost by countout to The Miz, but that means he gets to keep his newly won Intercontinental title. Not much of a match.
~ Cesaro defeated Jack Swagger by hitting the Neautralizer on him. This wasn't a bad match, but it's been seen a number of times before. Why now is Swagger on a losing streak? Bo Dallas then came out and said Swagger can get his dignity back if he just "BO-lieves."
~ Chris Jericho gave a short promo about his great fans.
~ Roman Reigns, Rob Van Dam, and Sheamus defeated Randy Orton and Rybaxel in a somewhat decent six-man tag match. Lots of action and offense from both sides. The ending was a big cluster with a lot of finishing moves, but it finished with RVD hitting the Five-Star Frog Splash for the win.
~ The Dust Brothers defeated the Usos with a roll-up from Stardust to one of them. it's hard to tell. This was a rather short match and kind of went nowhere, but had an odd finish.
~ Rusev and Lana came out to talk about his big win last night, and she starts ripping on America. Mark Henry interrupts and the two start to brawl. Henry hits Rusev's injured ankle and then demolished him.
~ Seth Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose in a "Falls Count Anywhere Match." These two should just continue their feud for months and let them keep battling it out because the matches are phenomenal. They fought with weapons and all around the arena in another fantastic battle.
The ending came when they were back in the ring and Kane interfered again. Kane eventually chokeslammed Ambrose on the announce table and Rollins followed it with a Curb Stomp.
Kane then unveiled some cinder blocks by the ring and Rollins delivered a Curb Stomp to Ambrose on top of them. The ref then stepped in and stopped the match and awarded it to Rollins.
