There is less than one week until WWE "SummerSlam," and things are truly coming to a head among all the superstars. Still, the episode of WWE "Monday Night Raw" on Aug. 11, 2014, was about the build-up, but more about celebrating the birthday of the immortal Hulk Hogan, and that includes confirmation that an NWO reunion was to take place.

It had been confirmed leading up to the show, but no-one knew to what extent. If you haven't seen "Monday Night Raw" or simply don't want to know the results, then stop reading now.

~ Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar started out the show and Heyman delivered a phenomenal promo about Lesnar's match with John Cena this weekend. Heyman just completely and totally killed it with this promo and even delivered a rap about Cena's "Thugonomics" days. This was brilliant.

~ Roman Reigns came to the ring and Kane returned as director of operations for The Authority, and said that Reigns was to face Rybaxel tonight. Reigns held his own until the referee disqualified Rybaxel for continuously slamming Reigns into the ring post.

After the bell, Reigns hit both members of Rybaxel with Superman punches and spears.

~ Backstage, Kane told Randy Orton that he had to face Sheamus this evening.

~ Seth Rollins defeated Rob Van Dam with the curb stomp in a short, but really good match. RVD finally looked inspired in the ring and totally looked fully healthy. There was a huge present box on stage and Dean Ambrose came flying out of it to attack him.

~ Stephanie McMahon came out and spoke about what is "best for business," and she invited Daniel Bryan's physical therapist into the ring. Megan, the PT, said she can't work with Bryan anymore because she had a love affair with him. Brie came out as Steph hugged Megan to "console" her.

Steph said that Megan ended each session with "YES!" Brie slapped Megan and then applied the YES Lock to Stephanie before agents broke up the fight.

~ Jack Swagger defeated Cesaro with the Patriot Lock in another good match between these two. Sadly, Cesaro continues to drop further down the ladder with yet another loss.

After the match, Zeb said that everyone will remember the American flag waving after "SummerSlam." Lana and Rusev appeared on stage and brought a big Russian flag down to oppose them.

~ Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho had a sit-down with Michael Cole earlier, and they actually sat there calmly and talked. It was a pretty good back-and-forth, and it looks like Wyatt may finally get a big win at "SummerSlam."

~ Eva Marie defeated AJ Lee in a non-title match. Eva rolled up AJ for the win while Paige distracted her. Paige ended up reciting a poem before leaving. AJ destroyed Eva at ringside, and even threw her into the commentator's table and into the barricade.

~ John Cena came down to give his own promo for "SummerSlam." This was a really good promo with a lot of intensity and it made you believe that Cena is ready and focused on his match with Lesnar.

~ Brie Bella was arrested as Megan pressed charges against her for the attack earlier in the night.

~ Heath Slater defeated Dolph Ziggler by countout when the Miz showed up. Ziggler offered a handshake to Slater after the match, but Slater attempted a kick. Ziggler spun him around and hit the Zig-Zag.

~ Sheamus makes his return, but gets beaten by Randy Orton in a pretty good match. They went back and forth as Sheamus exhibited some good power moves, but Orton caught him with an RKO as Sheamus was coming down off the top rope.

~ It's finally time for the birthday party and Hulk Hogan heads to the ring with Jimmy Hart. There is one phenomenal video package and then the stars come out. First, there is Ric Flair then Paul Orndorff then Rowdy Roddy Piper, and then Kevin Nash and Scott Hall of the nWo.

That brings out Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman to interrupt the party as the legends star on. He goes eye-to-eye with each of them, even bumping hard into Piper. Hogan then confronts Lesnar face-to-face. This brings out Cena, but Lesnar and Heyman just back out of the ring.

A staredown ended the show, but Hogan's birthday was to continue on WWE Network.
