WWE "Night of Champions" isn't far away at all now, but there is still a lot of action to be had before the pay-per-view happens on Sunday. On the evening of Sept. 9, 2013, the superstars of the WWE got together for "Monday Night Raw," and it was already known that there would be two big returns, but what else would happen?
Below are the full results for WWE "Monday Nighr Raw" so if you haven't watched the show and don't want to know what happened, then stop reading now.
~ Edge comes out first to a huge ovation as he returns for the "Cutting Edge." Edge said he returned at the request of Triple H so there could be a Rated RKO reunion with Randy Orton. Edge went off on Triple H, Orton, and The Shield before Daniel Bryan came down as his guest and he said he believes he can beat Orton for the title.
Orton then interrupts and goes off on Edge. This brings out Triple H who also ridicules Edge and makes a match for Bryan to fight Dean Ambrose. Edge confronted Triple H in the back and wishes he could wrestle again so he could take him out.
~ Kofi Kingston defeated Curtis Axel by disqualification after he wouldn't stop punching Kofi. Paul Heyman told him this couldn't happen on Sunday and Kingston took out Axel.
~ Dolph Ziggler continues to get buried as he lost to Bray Wyatt. It wasn't a bad match at all, but there was too much interference from the Wyatt Family.
~ Paul Heyman, Curtis Axel, and a doctor came out to the ring to say Heyman is in no condition to wrestle on Sunday. A WWE doctor came out and said Heyman was fine before CM Punk ran out with a kendo stick and beat down the other doctor and Axel.
~ Three divas beat three other divas in a match that was incredibly boring.
~ R-Truth lost to Alberto del Rio in another boring match that obviously no-one in the crowd cared about either. Del Rio ended up winning with the cross armbreaker.
~ A returning Santino Marella defeated Antonio Cesaro with a roll-up. Seriously? Why is Cesaro being buried like this?
~ Damien Sandow actually picked up a victory after a string of losses. He rolled up The Miz after a short match that was also kind of dull. Seems that the night is full of those.
~ Randy Orton defeated Goldust with an RKO after a pretty long, and rather good, match. Goldust showed that he can still go in the ring and even hit a CrossRhodes late in the match, but only got two. After a missed clothesline, Orton hit an RKO for the win.
After the match, Orton ripped on the Rhodes family and Daniel Bryan. In the back, Stephanie McMahon told Goldust to hit the unemployment line with his brother and to tell his father "hi."
~ Ryback got disqualified against Rob Van Dam when he wouldn't stop slamming him into the ringpost. Seriously, is this the night of bad finishes?
~ Daniel Bryan got a pinfall victory over Dean Ambrose in the main event with a roll-up. Honestly, that is the third match of the night to end that way, but at least this one was extremely good. After it was all over, Orton came back down and took out Bryan with an RKO.
Big Show comes out and is ordered by Triple H and Stephanie to go knock Bryan out. Show gets in the ring and Orton argues with him and commands him to take out Bryan. As Orton turns around, Bryan hits the running knee and holds the title up to end the show.
